RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in San Luis
Obispo, California. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU
- Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/20/2026 -
Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights -
Employment Type: Travel Description Responsible for the planning,
coordination, and provision of nursing care to patients in ICU,
Step Down Unit, Med Surg, Day Stay Unit, PACU and ER. Responsible
for maintaining competencies required for each of these units.
Supervises and delegates care responsibilities to ancillary
personnel commensurate with their scope of practice. Night Shift:
36 or 48 hours per week, please indicate traveler's choice if offer
is extended. Manager is open to either. Shift Time - 1900 - 0730
Education and Work Experience: - Associate Degree(A.S.) or
equivalent: Required - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing: Preferred -
One year ICU or Step-Down/Progressive Care, High Risk Labor and
Delivery or ER experience in the last 5 years: Required -
Completion of Critical Care Course(or equivalent experience):
Preferred Licenses/Certifications: - Current RN license in state of
practice: Required - Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS)
certification: Required - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life
Support): Required - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS OR
HS-PALS OR RQIPALS) certification: Required within 60 days of hire
or transfer - Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or enrolled in
upcoming TNCC classs: Required - Registered Nurse (RN) license in
state of practice: Required Facility Specific
License/Certifications: - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life
Support): Required within 6 months of hire or transfer: Required
