Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our rehabilitation team. As a vital member of our healthcare group, you will focus on providing high-quality patient care aimed at helping individuals regain their independence after significant health events like strokes and injuries. In this role, you will assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement speech therapy interventions. Successful candidates will be passionate about patient recovery and committed to maintaining the highest standards of care. Evaluate patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities. Develop and implement individually tailored treatment programs addressing specific recovery needs. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Educate patients and family members about communication strategies and coping mechanisms. Regularly document patients' progress and adjust treatments as necessary. Ability to assess treatment effectiveness and modify interventions. Strong interpersonal skills to engage with patients and team members. Proficient in using medical software for patient management. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
