Clinical Supervisor (313) Visalia, CA The Clinical Supervisor is
responsible for providing direct supervision to program staff and
overseeing the operations of the clinic. This includes ensuring
adherence to policies and procedures, making recommendations for
improvements, and offering guidance to staff. The role also
involves providing direct mental health services to consumers and
assistance in crisis situations as needed. The Clinical Supervisor
is responsible for managing the On-Call schedule and overseeing
clinical documentation to meet County standards. The position
represents Kings View before the County and the community while
collaborating with other Kings View team leaders How will I
contribute Supervise and coordinate the activities of clinic staff,
providing clinical direction and ensuring the quality of services
provided to diverse populations. Oversee clinical documentation,
ensuring compliance with Tulare County standards and regulations.
Monitor adherence to policies and procedures, making
recommendations for improvements as needed. Represent Kings View
before Tulare County HHSA and in the community, advocating for
client needs and mental health services. Provide direct mental
health services, including individual, family, and group sessions
as needed. Perform comprehensive intake assessments for individuals
with serious mental illness or emotional disturbance seeking
Specialty Mental Health Services. Deliver psychotherapeutic
interventions in accordance with professional and ethical standards
of licensing and regulatory bodies. Provide guidance on Child
Protective Services (CPS) and Child Welfare Services (CWS)
reporting processes for the team. Adapt assessment and treatment
processes to meet the needs of consumers based on factors such as
age, culture, medical history, economic status, and readiness for
treatment or change. Provide clinical consultation and supervision
for Mental Health Clinician I/II’s and Crisis Care Coordinators. In
the absence of the Clinical/Program Manager, provide selected
administrative direction to the team. Assist in the development and
monitoring of policies and procedures related to clinical
operations. Work collaboratively with the Clinical/Program Manager
and treatment team to prepare for chart audits and ensure
compliance. Assist the Clinical/Program Manager with departmental
duties and maintain service logs and department statistics.
Maintain shift assignment calendars and manage the On-Call
schedule, participating in the rotation as required. Prepare and
present progress reports on assigned cases, ensuring documentation
is thorough and up-to-date. Develop and participate in training for
staff on topics such as cultural competency, clinical practice,
compliance, treatment planning, and case management. Make
presentations to local agencies and community groups on mental
health and substance abuse issues, advocating for increased
awareness and support. Provide advocacy and systemic support for
clients, ensuring their mental health needs are addressed within
the community. Assist the Clinical Manager with other duties as
assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic. Perform
other duties as assigned to support the overall functioning and
success of the program. May encounter risk of working with persons
with SMI (serious mental illness) that may include, but not limited
to persons in mental health crisis, persons that may be intoxicated
or impaired by drugs or alcohol, persons who may be DTO (danger to
others), DTS (Danger to Self), or GD (Gravely Disabled). If such
situations arise, staff will be required to call local emergency
personnel to help deescalate the crisis, use crisis intervention
techniques, and consult with supervisor as soon as practically
possible. What I bring Master’s degree Social Work, Counseling,
Psychology, or related field. Maintain licensure as a LMFT or LCSW
Class C Driving License Two years post licensure experience in a
mental health setting, or one-year post licensure experience plus
one year of supervising/directing the activities of other clinical
staff in a mental health setting, or one year of post-licensure
experience plus one year of experience in staff supervision,
administration, and personnel management in any related human
service endeavor. EHR experience and proficient in computer skills,
knowledgeable regarding outcomes measures, breadth of knowledge
encompassing various and diverse psychological interventions and
theories, competency in adhering to budget. Must possess strong
organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
efficiently and manage time effectively. Excellent communication,
both written and verbal, is essential for conveying information
clearly and professionally. Proficiency in operating office
equipment and the ability to quickly learn new software
applications, ensuring high attention to detail in all tasks.
Adaptability to new technologies is important, as is the ability to
independently handle basic administrative functions with minimal
supervision. May require the ability to obtain credentialing
through the local County Managed Care Department. Strong
interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with
diverse teams. Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable. Strong
communication skills and a proactive attitude are essential for
assisting with various tasks. Flexibility, a willingness to learn,
and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities are important
characteristics for success in the role. Bilingual English/Spanish
preferred Compensation Package Pay Range: $48.05 - $58.46 $5,000
