The units are all together and licensed as an LDRP. Some floating to Bakersfield is REQUIRED as needed. /nThis unit provides antepartum/antenatal and postpartum/postnatal care for maternity patients and normal newborns. Gynecology patients are excluded. Note that this department does include labor and delivery. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment./n/nJob Requirements:/n/nEducation and Work Experience:/n/nBachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred/nAcute care facility experience: Preferred/nLicenses/Certifications:/n/nRegistered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required/nCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required/nDepartment Specific License/Certifications:/n/nNeonatal Resuscitation (NRP): Required/nS.T.A.B.L.E Certification (STABLE): Required/nAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or RQIACLS or Healthstream Advanced Cardiac Life Support (HS-ACLS): Required/nFetal Heart Monitoring (FHM): Required/nEssential Functions:/n/nCollects relevant data pertinent to the patient?s health or situation.
