Adventist Health is seeking a motivated lead speech language
pathologist to join our inpatient rehabilitation team in Hanford,
CA. Enjoy an excellent team environment within our Central Valley
Network of hospitals working with highly skilled and collaborative
physical, occupational, and speech therapists. This position will
oversee our inpatient speech therapy teams at our 4 Central
California Adventist hospitals, work closely with the Rehab
Director and lead physical and occupational therapist ensuring high
quality patient care is delivered. Along with overseeing the speech
department throughout our 4 hospitals, providing patient care, and
being involved with the growth of speech services this position
will be responsible for the supervision of SLP-CFY students to
allow for the growth of our speech department. You won’t find a

Understands, meets and complies with professional qualifications
required for speech, language and swallowing pathology specialties.
Provides professional speech therapy services to patients,
including evaluations, treatment plans, realistic and time-oriented
functional outcome goals, direct patient treatment and discharge
criteria. /n Job Requirements: /n/n Education and Work Experience:
/n /n - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent: Required /n - Master's
Degree: Preferred /n - Doctorate Degree: Preferred /n - Two years'
leadership experience: Preferred /n - Two years' experience in
acute care facility:Required /n /n/n/n Licenses/Certifications: /n
/n - Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice:
Required /n - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required /n -
American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate
of Clinical Competence (CCC): Preferred /n /n/n/n Essential
Functions: /n - Provides clinical and professional mentorship to
department staff members. /n - Serves as a supervisor for SLP-CFY
students. /n - Performs Videofluoroscopic Swallowing Studies. /n -
Evaluates and treats patients to promote, maintain and improve
treatment programs and protocols. /n - Ensures clinical skills meet
high standards through continual educational opportunities. /n -
Acts as a departmental clinical resource, especially in the absence
of coordinators and managers. /n - Completes comprehensive and
accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines. /n -
Completes evaluations to ensure quality standards and addresses
assessment areas that require attention. /n -Uses appropriate
clinical techniques and tools, establishes individualized treatment
plans for patients and completes necessary documentation. /n -
