Position SummaryThe Vice President of Enrollment Management
(VPEM) is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and
the President's Cabinet and provides strategic leadership for the
university's comprehensive enrollment efforts across all modalities
and populations, including traditional undergraduate, degree
completion, graduate, seminary admissions, and student financial
services. The VPEM oversees a forward-thinking, data-informed
enrollment strategy that supports the mission, vision, and values
of Fresno Pacific University.
The successful candidate will bring vision, innovation, and proven
leadership to the enrollment division, with an ability to lead
through change, foster cross-campus collaboration, and advance a
student-centered, faith-informed culture of excellence.
Essential FunctionsUniversity and Cabinet-Level Leadership
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the President and member of the
ELT and President's Cabinet.
- Represent Enrollment Management in executive-level
conversations, providing data-informed insights and solutions that
impact institutional enrollment, retention, and net revenue.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with key areas
including Marketing, Academics (especially regarding retention and
Registrar functions), Athletics, Institutional Technology, and
Human Resources.
- Keep the campus community informed of enrollment trends,
projections, and goals, while staying abreast of national and
regional developments in higher education enrollment.
- Communicate and actively participate in leadership meetings
including board of trustees meetings.Division Leadership and Team
Development
- Oversee the functional areas of Traditional Undergraduate
Admissions, Graduate Admissions, Seminary Admissions, Degree
Completion Admissions, Admissions Operations, and Student Financial
Services.
- Foster a high-performing, mission-aligned enrollment team
through effective hiring, training, professional development, and
mentoring. Includes goal-setting, support, and accountability of
functional areas.
- Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, service, and
cross-functional collaboration.
- Ensure that all Enrollment Management departments operate with
a strong student-first mindset and deliver exceptional customer
service.
- Provide stewardship of departmental budgets and resources,
identifying operational and staffing needs in partnership with the
President, VP for Finance, and Human Resources.
- Ensure the effective use of enrollment technologies including
CRM (Slate), SIS, and scholarship/awarding systems, while ensuring
ongoing staff training.Strategic and Data-Driven Enrollment
Planning
- Develop and implement a multi-year strategic enrollment plan
grounded in data, market research, and institutional
priorities.
- Monitor and assess enrollment trends, demographic changes, and
competitor activity to develop innovative approaches to recruitment
and retention.
- Leverage institutional aid, scholarships, work study, and
federal/state programs to maximize access and student success.
Includes effective management of federal, state, institutional and
donor funds.
- Ensure alignment between recruitment efforts and FPU's mission,
including thoughtful strategies to reach underrepresented,
first-generation, and faith-seeking student populations.
- Lead a parent and family engagement strategy for prospective
students, especially in the traditional undergraduate
market.Regional Center and Extended Campus Oversight
- Ensure strong leadership and enrollment success at FPU's
regional campuses.
- Oversee administrative coordination for each center, including
facilities, safety, classroom utilization, and student
services.
- Collaborate with internal partners to provide a consistent,
high-quality experience at all campus locations, including
registrar, advising, tutoring, counseling, and financial aid
services.Vendor and External Partner Collaboration
- Strategically manage third-party vendors and consultants that
support enrollment functions, ensuring alignment with institutional
goals.
- Current and past vendor relationships include Enrollment Fuel,
Legacy Consulting, Kanahoma, Caylor Solutions, Colleague, and
others.Miscellaneous Duties
- Demonstrate a commitment to serving and inspiring students and

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible leadership
in higher education enrollment.
- Documented success in meeting or exceeding enrollment and net
tuition revenue goals.
- Demonstrated expertise in admissions financial aid strategy,
and enrollment planning.
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and collaborate at all
levels of the institution.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making
skills.
- Strategic thinker with an understanding of data analytics and
the role of technology in modern enrollment management.
Preferred:
- Master's degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience working in a faith-based, mission-driven
institution.
- Experience with both traditional and non-traditional student
populations.
- Experience in regional campus operations
- Familiarity with the California higher education landscape,
including public and private competition.
- Understanding of student retention frameworks and success
models.
- Enrollment marketing history with proven results.
- 3-4 years of CRM experience.
- Supervised Federal Financial Aide
Environmental Conditions:
- Indoors in a normal office environment with little exposure to
excessive noise, dust, fumes, vibrations, and temperature changes
at least eighty percent (80%) of the time.
- Frequent computer use at a workstation, up to eight hours per
day.
- Frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled
interruptions.
- Drive personal or University vehicles to appointments,
university centers, recruitment events, and national
conferences.
- Public contact position requiring professional apparel,
personal hygiene, and grooming.
Physical Demands:
- This position typically functions indoors in an office
environment with light to moderate noise associated with business
office equipment. The position may involve travel for meetings and
events.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to: remain in a stationary position 80 % of the
time, be able to move about inside the office to access file
cabinets/office machinery etc., operate a computer and keyboard and
other office productivity machinery such as calculators/copy
machines/printers. The employee is occasionally required to
position self to reach items on the floor and in high
cabinetry.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Employee must be
able to communicate with others to exchange information including
both over the telephone and in-person communication with callers
and community members and be able to read a computer screen and
paper documents.

University Information$130,000.00 to $160,000.00 is the annual
salary for this role and reflects what Fresno Pacific University
reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation
may vary based on the qualifications, experience, and internal
equity. In addition to compensation, FPU offers a competitive
