Dynamic organization in Delano, CA is looking to add a Project Engineer / Manager to their team. This role will report directly to the Director - Technical Services.This position includes a competitive salary of up to $125k plus great benefits and annual profit sharing bonus.Position Summary: Manage Capital Projects of all properties including new projects/ facilities; seasonal setups for operations and agriculture.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.--- Regularly review and revise plans throughout the year as necessary.--- Collaborative efforts with the operations team / agriculture team, as it pertains to each specific project with consideration of product strategies to the overall vision of the company.--- Lead the capital project planning and directing the installation of utilities and production equipment.--- Prepare bids, budgets and contracts and direct the negotiation of terms with outside maintenance/facilities contractors.--- Direct the activities of outside contractors to ensure that plans are being followed per specifications and insure that all safety regulations, personal hygiene and food safety practices are followed.--- Perform administrative duties such as approving expenditures, and writing reports to senior management as directed.--- Practice strong interpersonal communications with peers and subordinates to build and maintain constructive and productive relationships; Develop strong interpersonal communications to build and maintain constructive professional relationships that allow clear direction on work tasks and deadlines, and collaborate on interdepartmental projects.--- Maintain constructive relationships with consulting staff to ensure efficient completion of projects.--- Adhere to accepted engineering standards and ensure staff adheres as well.--- Provide the proper resources to the safety program in the form of work order support, facility code compliance and OSHA program compliance where required and ensure compliance to EPA as well as all other Federal, State and local regulations.--- Enforce company policies and practices including HACCP, GMP---s and Safety procedures.--- Prioritize and execute the annual capital plan with the Production & Maintenance team and be accountable for the capital spending execution against the approved budgeted amounts.--- Facilitate an inter-departmental inclusive approach when new equipment/processes are introduced to insure proper training, safety training, availability of technical information, and process improvements are met.--- Ensure equipment documentation exists and conforms to standards in the form of work instructions, standard operating procedures, operating and maintenance manuals, drawings, machine code and ladder logic diagrams.--- Manage the workload flow utilizing inside and when necessary, outside resources to balance the quality and speed of execution.--- Manage and direct all 3rd party resources that are utilized to support all plant operations as well as Capital and Expense Projects, to include obtaining Purchase Orders, overseeing the work ordered and approving all invoices associated with that work.--- Strategic planning focusing on facility/equipment improvements and volume growth.For more information, call Carlos Peralta at AppleOne Employment Services or email your resume to AppleOne is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
