Tyler Houk (Vice President) with Robert Half is partnering with a growing Agriculture Company in searching for a Director of Finance to join their organization. This role will be located near Delano with some ability to work one day remotely from a home office. This role will play a major role in the financial and operational health of an organization. Candidates must have the business acumen to effectively address matters coming before the executive committee of the management council and a strong financial background. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:
Requirements
Responsibilities:
-- Direct and oversee all aspects of the accounting functions of the organization.
-- Prepare financial statements, financial forecasts, cash flows and financial analysis.
-- Ensure effective internal controls are in place, and compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws for tax reporting.
-- Capital budgeting and ROI analysis.
-- Present financial reports and divisional performance analysis to management council.
-- Assist auditors on annual financial audit and report.
-- Assist tax accountants with corporate tax compliance.
-- Oversee compliance with banking and regulatory reporting.
-- Oversee development and implementation of accounting policies.
-- Advise on financial implications of business activities and expansions.
-- Supervision of financial reporting, accounting, billing, payroll, and budgeting duties.
-- Coordinate financial planning, budgeting, procurement, and investment activities.
-- Maintain current knowledge of information technology, organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.
-- Serve as a key member of the Executive Committee of the management council.
Qualifications:
-- Strong ethics and absolute integrity.
-- Passion for a dynamic and growing enterprise.
-- Strong work ethic and stamina.
-- CPA strongly preferred
-- 7+ years of financial leadership experience
-- Minimum of BA in Accounting
-- Drive and Desire to grow a business
-- Solid experience in the timely completion of multiple tasks including coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, internal controls, regulatory compliance and reporting of government, corporate and foundation grants.
