Our client is a highly successful company in the fresh produce industry, and is looking for a an experienced Senior Accountant to join their fast-paced team.Client DetailsOur client is the largest grower, producer, and shipper of carrots in the world. • Analyze manufacturing costs and variances to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction
• Develop and maintain standard costing models for all products
• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close processes
• Conduct regular cost reviews and cost analysis to ensure accuracy and identify trends
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, and finance to gather relevant cost data
• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes related to inventory and cost of goods sold
• Prepare and present cost reports to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process
• Participate in inventory management activities including inventory valuation and physical inventory counts
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulationsProfile
  • Four-year Accounting Degree required from an accredited College/University
  • Three to five years of experience in related Farm Accounting environment or Food Manufacturing
  • Cost accounting experience a plus
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be analytical, organized, detail oriented Job Offer
